The second annual Michigan Construction Career Days (MICCD) with title sponsor the Operating Engineers Local 324 hosted 2009 middle and high school students from 54 schools across this great state. Over the course of two testy days of weather, hundreds of dedicated construction professionals fared cold, wind, rain and mud to show these young people the many career opportunities in the construction industry. MICCD participants include 66 pieces of heavy equipment provided by 27 companies, organizations and governmental agencies; 39 exhibitors from companies, associations, high school construction trades, colleges, universities, skilled trades, the US Army and government providing 16 information booths, 13 activity booths and 10 outdoor activities.
